The GenAISA – Generative AI Skills Academy consortium held its third transnational project meeting on 26–27 November 2025 in Derio, Spain. Hosted by Politeknika Txorierri, the meeting brought together partners from across Europe to review progress and plan the next steps as the project moves from content development towards integration, testing and long-term impact.
Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) joined the meeting as one of the project partners, contributing to the development of future-oriented learning resources that respond to the growing need for generative AI skills in Europe.
The consortium also reviewed progress on the GenAISA MOOC, which will include courses for higher education, vocational training, and AI readiness. Partners worked together to assess the draft modules, their structure and alignment with labour market needs. These activities help ensure that the future learning materials are consistent, practical and relevant for learners across different educational contexts.
Another important part of the meeting focused on the project’s digital tools. Partners were introduced to the first design of the GenAISA Virtual World, an immersive environment for hands-on experimentation with generative AI tools. Updates were also shared on the Digital Skills Passport, which will allow learners to track completed modules, micro-credentials and AI-related competencies.
Preparations for the piloting phase were also discussed. Planned for late 2026, the pilots will help test the developed materials in real learning environments and improve them based on user feedback.
The meeting also covered project management, quality assurance, sustainability and dissemination activities. Partners reviewed upcoming deadlines, risk management measures and communication plans, including the project’s promotional video.
Through its participation in GenAISA, KTU continues to contribute to European efforts to strengthen generative AI education and support the development of skills needed for the future labour market.
